My business is unique and as such, I am often asked to explain it. No, I’m not a graphic designer or an illustrator in the sense of taking a pencil and sketching on a drawing pad. Instead, I may be considered a translator. Not a translator of foreign languages but rather a translator of data and text.  In other words, I translate an author’s message into visual images giving the reader a visual explanation along with a written one.

But why all of the sudden are we talking so much about a visual way of representing our thoughts?

It is because of TIME. Information presented visually is much quicker to absorb by the human brain. If something saves us time, something we are always so short of, it must be good and we must have more of it.

I enjoy sharing examples of my work and here is another one I found particularly interesting.

The starting point was the table (pictured below). I always liked tables. They provide a good first step towards understanding the subject but they don’t give the full picture and need further analysis.
